The founding members of Wisher met at a school called The Detroit Institute Of Music Education (DIME). We practiced in Waterford, Michigan with our original guitarist, Mole, who very sadly passed away in 2021. We recorded our first single Lady Jayne and our EP in his basement called Cosmic Sunrise. 

We are inspired by bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Nightwish, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Paramore and many more! 

Since losing Mole, Emily and Drake joined as harmony lead guitarists. They are now locked in as essential members, as we have evolved the ideas behind this project’s original goals. We lean into the concept of “ the universal dream” (a lyrical excerpt from the song ‘Limelight’ by Rush) and decided to explore our inspirations from the niche that involves some of the fantastical ideas we original members love so dearly. These ideas include the joy of playing video games along with going to connective and community based events like Renaissance Festivals and others that promote imaginative curiosity and creativity in an intellectual manner. Wisher strongly represents ideals that are cemented in integrity, creativity, and collaborative thinking for the betterment of the world.
